Equestrian This or That
I won’t lie, things have been a little dull around here lately. Don’t get me wrong, dull can be a great thing. It means your horse isn’t trying to kill himself (again), and you’re happy with your barn, etc. Dull though is not a good thing for blogging fodder.
So instead of bore you with intense descriptions of trot circles and canter transitions (our theme for this week), I’ve created a little “this or that” – equestrian style. If you’re also having a dull week, feel free to grab this for your blog. I like learning about y’all!

Yay! I’m not the only one who rides in an IRH! Charles Owens do not fit me AT ALL. I think my IRH looks just as nice and didn’t cost nearly as much 🙂
Maybe one day my pocket book will allow for GPAs, but for now I love IRHs. I want to try on some Charles Owens because I love “the look” for the hunters, but not sure how they will look on my head!
I have to say neither to most of them. I am really big on value/comfort over name brands and functionality over style. :0} And for a lot of the “this or thats,” I don’t use either (wraps or boots; hunters or jumpers; martingales; eq or hunter under saddle, etc.). I need to create my own list that uses endurance and dressage likes/dislikes: HiTie or corrals; memory foam or wool; rope halter or biothane halter; powder or paste electrolytes; snaffle noseband or crank noseband. :0)
Hehe, you should! I tried to throw in some questions for dressage and eventing people, but most of these are pretty hunter/jumper focused.
Yay for IRH! The only helmet that fits my oblong head.
I always have trouble answering these because I haven’t tried a lot of them! Like County or Antares — I don’t have anything by either. Or Ariat or Tailored Sportsman — I’ve never tried TS, so how can I say?
You just say TS because they’re the bomb diggity 🙂 JK, add in whatever brand you do like!
Even though I, in my words in my post, “I no ride fancy” I still did it. 😉 Ignore my “derp” moments. 😉 Someone needs to do a western version..maybe I’ll make one….hmmm…
Cross-country OR foxhunting? What kind of a question is THAT?!?!? The answer, obvs, is BOTH! 😉
I would do this, but I don’t know what half that stuff means.
Totally stealing!!! 🙂
What! You’d take a Warmblood over your darling Thoroughbred?
I think that those questions would put way too much pressure on me actually making a decision 😛 Well played, ma’am.
Love my IRH! I will definitely be stealing… I’ll need something to keep me busy 🙂
That is a gorgeous bridle! My roommate has it and I always drool in envy when she puts it on her horse
Stealing! 😀
This is great 🙂 these questions can get hard to answer for me because a lot of the brands are completely different than the ones here in New Zealand.
